FitBump T3 (Targeted Trimester Training) focuses on strengthening and stretching specific key muscle groups during all three trimesters of pregnancy. Classes include strength, cardio and interval training, as well as stretching. Some classes may include resistance bands and TRX ropes. Designed by FitBump founder Kira Kohrherr (AFAA certified personal trainer, ACE pre/postnatal certified) and editor in chief Ingrid Skjong (AAPT certified personal trainer, ACE pre/postnatal certified), FitBump T3 is appropriate for all fitness levels and aims to help get moms-to-be in labor-ready shape and to help shorten post-baby recovery time. Class size is capped at 10 participants per session to ensure hands-on attention in a small-group setting.Note: As always, check with your doctor or midwife before starting a new workout.
Mondays at 6:30 p.m. and Thursdays at 7:30 a.m. (July 13 to November 2)
Workouts will take place along Hudson River Park in Tribeca. Class will be canceled in the event of inclement weather.
We will meet at 101 Sixth Avenue (9th Floor). Locked bag storage, restrooms and water will be provided. Please arrive 15 minutes early if you need to change.
$20 a class. (Please note that there is a 12-hour cancellation policy.)
A: FitBump T3 is appropriate for all fitness levels and is for moms-to-be that are eager to keep moving throughout their pregnancies. You are encouraged to work at your own pace, and we are committed to making sure each participant has a challenging and safe experience. Nearly all exercises are modifiable depending on fitness level and trimester.Q: What basic info do I need to know?
A: Wear comfortable workout clothing and shoes. A towel is optional. Please arrive 15 minutes early to change and⎯on the first day of your first class⎯to fill out preliminary paperwork. We will leave our meeting place at 99 Hudson Street promptly at the class start time. Our workouts will take place at Hudson River Park, a short walk away. Your belongings will be locked at 99 Hudson Street. Water will be supplied, but feel free to bring something to drink to keep you hydrated during class. You may also want to eat a light snack pre-workout.Q: What if it rains?
A: Class will be canceled and we will contact you as soon as we make the call. You will be able to transfer that booking to another class time. If there is a temporary rain-day location, we will relay that information as well.
